Vestry Minutes
June 10, 2009

ATTENDANCE: Kirsten Collins, David Nichols, Rich Waugh, Paul Carroll, Stephanie Price, Julie Matson, Jennifer Huff, Joseph Whitehurst, Fr. Grant Wiseman, Frank Wise, Janine Hepner, Sam McGill, Joe Mitchell, Gregory MacDougall, Anne Campbell, Sandra Bell.

This meeting was called to order and opening prayer presented by Anne Campbell.

MOTION: MADE BY Gregory MacDougall, seconded by David Nichols to approve minutes of May 20, 2009 with a change to the last motion made by David Nichols at that meeting to read: “motion to accept Mead Hall budget changes previously approved.” Carried by voice vote.

Joe Mitchell presented update and report on upcoming lock-out, scavenger hunt and mission trip.

Joseph Whitehurst presented the Curate Report, reporting the new copier is here with web based calendar & scheduling software coming soon.

Fr. Grant reported more than 200 students registered for ‘09-‘10 term. Mead Hall board will meet in July to discuss space issues. Job description for new youth minister was discussed; there is presently one candidate. Suggest vestry get together to review planning session from retreat. This event is scheduled for July 8, 2009, and a 90-day review was discussed.

Rich Waugh presented the treasurer’s report.

This meeting went into executive session at 6:45 pm. Motion was made, seconded and carried to end executive session at 7:25 pm.

MOTION was made by Janine Hepner, seconded by Sandra Bell that Bear Woodrum be made chairman of the Century & Grounds Committee. Carried by voice vote.
