The bread and wine for this weekend are given to the glory of God
by Denise and Ellie in honor of the new Episcopal Seminarian, Joe Mitchell.
EYC NOTES: To the kids, clergy, and congregants of St. Thaddeus, thank you! For the past two years I have had the joy of serving you as youth minister, and it has been such a blessing to grow with you as we challenged ourselves to be the very best that we can be. Seeing youth chalice, read, and preach shows how much we have embraced our call to love and serve these kids. Thanks for letting me be a part of that and for having the greatest time of my life. As I move forward to seminary and whatever God has in store for me, I will carry the love of St. Thaddeus deep in my heart and continue to hold you all in my prayers. God bless. Take care of yourselves! Joe

WISE/KENNEDY SS CLASS: “Jesus and the Gospels”
Summer Program
We have begun our summer program with a series of 30-minute video presentations by Luke Timothy Johnson, professor at Emory University: Jesus and the Gospels. The introduction states that, “The Jesus who is inscribed in these Gospels is the Jesus who has shaped Western culture and whohas shaped the Christian religion. Professor Johnson also introduces you to Jesus’s world of Mediterranean culture, Greek ideals and realities, Roman governance, and the religion of Israel from which Christianity began.” These will be a very interesting series of lectures.
PILATES: There is a free pilates class in the large parlor each Monday and Wednesday from 9 am to 10:00 am. This class is taught by a Mead Hall School teacher, Elizabeth Howell. If you want some “cool” exercise try it out! Questions and more information please call Elizabeth Howell, 649-0264.
