NEWCOMERS: Smiling Faces
And the Lord added to their number daily… Acts 2:47
We see new faces every Sunday at St. Thaddeus. Some belong to folks returning to our community, others belong to folks who are altogether new. If you’re new or if you’ve been around awhile, but you’re not in the church directory, after church today look for an eager photographer standing outside the church and let them take your picture. We’ll print it with your name attached and post it on the bulletin board in the narthex and print it in the newsletter so everybody can learn who you are.
If you’ve been around awhile, and even if you’re pretty sure everybody knows your name, wear your nametag, just in case. If you don’t have a nametag, there’s a sign-up sheet in the narthex. After a few weeks, you’ll see it hanging on the rack – also in the narthex.
Watch for more news from our Newcomers Team. And guess what! You’re already a member. All you have to do is smile and welcome somebody you’ve never seen at St. Thaddeus before, and you’ve done what we do best, made people feel right at home.

WISE/KENNEDY SS CLASS: “Jesus and the Gospels”
Summer Program
We have begun our summer program with a series of 30-minute video presentations by Luke Timothy Johnson, professor at Emory University: Jesus and the Gospels. The introduction states that, “The Jesus who is inscribed in these Gospels is the Jesus who has shaped Western culture and who has shaped the Christian religion. Professor Johnson also introduces you to Jesus’ world of Mediterranean culture, Greek ideals and realities, Roman governance, and the religion of Israel from which Christianity began.” These will be a very interesting series of lectures.
