Beginning on Thursday, December 6th and continuing during the Thursdays of Advent, we will be offering a Taizé service at 6:00pm in the chapel. Taizé services are quiet, meditative services. They feature simple, repeated chants, readings from Scripture, and periods of reflection.

They are a wonderful time to pause, take a breath, and just “be.” Taizé services are based on the liturgy that developed at the Taizé community in France. The Taizé community is an ecumenical religious order that celebrates the contemplative aspect of our faith and invites us to pause and reflect on God.

As we journey together into the season of Advent and prepare to celebrate the miracle of Christmas, I invite you to take some time out to pause, take a deep breath, and prepare to celebrate the joy of Christmas.
