About the tours
The St. Thaddeus Home and Garden Tour has been set for Saturday, March 27, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. In keeping with an annual spring tradition started over 50 years ago, this year’s tour features several of Aiken’s oldest homes and gardens, fully restored and renewed, as well as newer homes built in a historic setting. The day continues with tours of our historic chapel and grounds, and then concludes with tea and light refreshments in the St. Thaddeus Tea Garden. A new addition to this year’s event is the Heritage Market, where friends can browse a selection of vintage linens and handmade gifts in the adjacent Stevenson-McClelland Parish House. This year’s tour is held in conjunction with Aiken’s year-long 175th anniversary celebration, Celebrate Aiken, and all proceeds raised returning to the Aiken community through our local outreach projects.
