Advent Wreath and Greening of the Church 12.2.17

Come make an Advent Wreath! A very tangible aid to worship during the weeks of Advent is the Advent wreath. Originating probably in northern Europe, the Advent wreath, with its 4 candles and 7 different greens, is full of rich meaning and symbolism. The wreath is an excellent family tradition that helps embrace the Advent season and prepare for Christ’s birth. Join us on
Saturday, December 2 at 3:00, in the Stevenson-McClelland building with your family to make your own Advent wreath. All supplies will be provided. A donation to cover cost of supplies would be appreciated. Instruction in the wreath’s symbolism will be provided by Father Joseph, and hamburgers and hotdogs will be on the grill! To be sure we have enough supplies, we need reservations! Please call the church office (648-5497) and let us know you’re coming and will need supplies, or sign up on the sheet in the Narthex. Call Thom Akins with any questions (678-761-2754).
